Hey there! My name is Haleigh Kauffmann, and I am an LCSWA. I am originally from Greenville, SC and just recently moved to Charlotte after finishing graduate school. I earned both my Bachelor and Master in Social Work degrees from Winthrop University. 

In my free time, I love spending time with family and friends, especially going on short road trips to explore what is around us. You can always catch me trying new restaurants as I explore all that Charlotte has to offer. One of my biggest goals for next couple of years is to travel more and start taking countries off my bucket list. I also love anything that involves the water whether that be paddleboarding, kayaking, swimming in the ocean, or jumping off a boat into a lake.

I use a strengths-based approach in my work. In a strengths-based approach, I pull from existing strengths the client has and use those strengths to develop tools the client can use outside of sessions. This approach allows me to meet the client where they are, but also, I am able to observe their environment to determine what might be limiting their growth. I also integrate cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness strategies to best meet the client’s needs. 

The biggest component of my work is building a great rapport with my clients. I want to know who my clients truly are and let them know I will always be their biggest cheerleader. Therapy can be a scary and vulnerable experience, so I want my clients to feel as comfortable as possible with me. 

I have a background working with children and adolescents with challenges ranging from anxiety, depression, familial struggles, ADHD, and grief and loss. I strive to empower my clients to get them to a place where they can handle any of the challenges life throws their way. I am here to be a stepping stone in your journey and help you flourish into becoming the best version of yourself.
