Breaking The Stigma Of Counseling
This spring 2020 art therapy group was developed to allow for a safe and expressive space for middle school aged children to use the arts to work through difficulties. It is an opportunity for participants to utilize creativity as a means to develop greater self-awareness, explore emotions, address unresolved inner conflicts, and even establish an additional coping skill. This group would best benefit middle school aged children, who struggle with low self-esteem, mood regulation, anxiety and depression symptoms. All supplies will be provided. The art group will be weekly on Thursday’s at 5:30 starting on March 19th for a total of 5 sessions. The group will create individual artwork as well as an awesome artistic group endeavor! No previous art skills or studies necessary except for the love of creating!
